Badru is a PhD candidate at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU) of the University of Oxford (UK). Badru holds a PGD in international wildlife conservation practice from the University of Oxford, MSc. Biology from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and BSc. Forestry from Makerere University.

Badru’s research focuses on understanding and finding solutions to human and environmental threats to biodiversity. His specific research interests lie in understanding the interactions between human activity and wildlife in human dominated landscapes, and how this knowledge informs wildlife conservation.
